I’m Chandra Thumuluru, a software engineer based in Bengaluru, India.
I’m currently at Cockroach Labs, focused on distributed database infrastructure.
Before that, I was at Google as a connectivity lead on the AlloyDB team. Prior to Google, I was at Netflix on the online datastores team, operating one of the largest Cassandra deployments in production, serving over 90% of Netflix’s online content. My work focused on building tools and technologies to simplify running stateful services and databases at scale.
My interests are in systems engineering: distributed protocols, database internals, performance analysis, and low-level Linux. This blog is where I write about what I learn.
